My sweet butterfly, a day doesn’t pass that I don’t wish I had you near. You have left an imprint on my heart, for that, I am forever grateful. As I look up at the sun, I smile through tears. So many dreams shattered, and so many memories we will never have. Whenever this pain feels unbearable, I’m gently reminded, “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly”. Butterfly, I wait for the special day when, mother and daughter walk hand in hand up the mountain again.
