Two snowflakes fell from heaven
and I caught them in my hand
I marveled at their beauty - the
most perfect in all the land

A smile came to my face
and joy filled my heart
This emotion was way too brief
as we were soon to part

For snowflakes do not last
They're really only 'on lend'
God allows us to see their glory
then takes them back again

But my memory is quite strong
and I will always recall
these two perfect snowflakes
and the day they did fall
