Born into the arms of Jesus on November 22, 2009
Sweet child of mine,
You give rhythm to the beat of my heart,
Wrapped warmly in feather blankets and shooting stars.
You paved a path of pure white light
By the gentle glow of a single firefly
Now I promise to stay upon that road
God took to carry you home
He left His footprints in the sand
So I can't get lost and I can't lose hope
The day will come that I'll squeeze you tight
I'll kiss your cheek and look well into your eyes
But for now this poem will have to do
Words sketched and washed away by the ocean blue
By grace I find I am not alone
There are those with whom I grieve
With whom also I celebrate
Our family is enough to keep me strong
So that in faith I wait
And I praise in song
For as many times as I blink
I will think of you
Until the day we are reunited,
And I can enter into His rest with wonders anew
But until that day...
I'll hold onto you always.
With x's and o's & songs and prose,
I love you, Baby Blue... Baby Pink... Baby Yellow.
