Because of you we are so much more.
Without you we are so much less.

We think of you often and talk about you every day. We miss you so much. Yet we celebrate your freedom. It was an honor, sweet girl, to be your Mommy. I thank God for that every day.
Love you.

Your patience, kindness, and sweet little voice will be cherished forever and ever. We remember you with a smile when we eat steak, when we fly kites, or whenever we watch Sponge Bob. You reminded us that the little things in life are the most important and that it's time to slow down and enjoy just "being".

Always in our hearts,
The Sickler's

My dear sister-
Words cannot express how much I miss you. You cross my mind every minute of everyday. Everything reminds me of you. I cannot begin to imagine who I would even be if you were never brought into my life. How blessed was I to have you for a sister! Everytime I'm having a bad day, I think of something you used to say or do and instantly smile. While I have so many favorite memories of you, I think the ones that stick out in my mind the most was how we shared a bedroom, and our little chats before bed and how you'd look thru books or play your video games. You couldn't get enough video games! We would say "don't let the bed bugs bite" every night. I still can't bring myself to watch an episode of Spongebob now that your gone. Or look at the book "365 Penguins" that I got you for your last birthday. While my heart aches that you are gone, I'm just so happy that you are safe from being sick anymore, and have to keep telling myself that there are no goodbyes, and i'll see you again one day. I look up almost every night and try to pick out the brightest star in the sky and think that that's you, because you will always be the brightest star in my life!

I love you!
Your Sister

Skylar had such a gentle spirit. To just know her was to love her and what a pleasure it was to have loved her. For me she was so many things...she was my "Love-Bug", my "Scoobie-Do" and my "Sweet-Sweet Baby Girl". She taught us so much about life, as to what really is important, to quietly endure with such inner strength and to love others with everything you have inside. It was my greatest joy and pleasure to be her "Auntie Peggy". I have so many memories of Skylar from the very first time I saw her little face when she was born, holding her with all those tubes, praying for her. God certianly answered our prayers because there would be cookies and cakes to bake (and frost) art projects to make, painting and coloring to be done, movies to be watched (over-and over-and over again) and those moments late in the night unable to sleep and not feeling well she would caress my check and tell me she loved me. God blesses us with many kinds of love and for me she is the love of my life.

Skylar may have gone to heaven but I think about her every day and smile to think of that sweet little face with that BIG smile and the sparkle in her eyes. There are times when I feel she is near and if only I could kiss her sweet little face one more time.

Oh my sweet girl I love you so.

Skylar, you always helped me remember the important things in life: laughter, love, and family. I will especially remember your contagious giggle. My days were always brighter when I crossed your path. I admired your determination and strength to move beyond those things you could not change. Thank you for teaching us these lessons of life. I miss you! Karen

My precious little friend. I still get a smile on my face when I think of the times we spent together - even the not so fun times were amazing. I will always be grateful that God thought enough of me to allow me to be a part of your world. You are still simply amazing!
Love Ya Forever!
