Elliana Kate Fitzpatrick

Elliana Kate Fitzpatrick
Born in Heaven on May 4th, 2011

My Forever Child

You are a Precious Child
Created out of love,
a blessing from above.
I've adored you from the start,
and your little footprints touched my heart.
A single teardrop represents the millions I have cried.
My life never the same since you died.
I wish you could have stayed longer with me,
I'd watch you grow into all you could be.
Although we are apart,
You are always in my heart.
I dream of a joyful time when
we will be reunited once again.
Thoughts of you make me smile.
You will always be My Forever Child

Elliana~ I want you to know how much you are wanted~ and loved! We planned for you, waited and longed for you! We were so excited when we found out that we were expecting you. We were pregnant at Christmas, but didn't know it yet! We found out January 6th~ and I was so excited to tell your daddy and your grandparents. I loved to talk about you and taking care of you. I bought all the pregnancy books, baby care books, nutrition books, name books...hahaha- I read every night! Your sister Kaitlyn asked me why I was reading so much if I already had two kids! Austin's remark was simply "Are you ready for the PAIN, momma?!" deferring right to labor and delivery! Although Austin did tell us one night he was anxious to buy "Goober"...he means Gerber- for the baby!

I loved to feel my belly, wear pregnancy clothes, feel you flip and roll around, and see you on the ultrasound monitor. I loved being with you, and taking care of you. I miss that.

We named you Elliana, because it means "the Lord has responded" and the Lord has answered our prayers, in Hebrew. You're named after your great-grandmother, Elli; your momma and grandma Shirley whose middle names are Ann; Kate is a derivative of Katherine- your Nana Kathy; and Fitzpatrick after your great-grandmother Helen and Judge.

We do believe the Lord blessed us with you. And what a sweet blessing you were. I wish our time with you were longer. 22 weeks was so short. 2 hours to hold you wasn't long enough. We know that you'll forever be our daughter~ and we can't wait to hold you again in Heaven.

I know that you are with our Lord, and he is holding you. I take comfort that you are not in pain and you are being taken care of. Jesus loves you so much, and He is the best parent to have right now. But Mommy and Daddy can't wait to see you, what color hair you have and hear your sweet voice, and hold you forever in eternity.

Holy Scripture tells us that Jesus called the little children to him What a wonderful assurance and comfort! Blessings to all who mourn. Gerald Carter
