Please Read

Dear Friends,

Last night we took our email address off the site as we are struggling to cope with the amount of name requests. We are receiving around 90 a day now. Because this isn't a professional business we only have one hand that writes the names, one camera to take the photo's and one computer to upload all the information.

We are still getting emails for requests. We understand that people are eager to have their child's name written but we really need people to respect that we can't take anymore names until Friday.

We are at the point now that this project has become so large that it is more than a full time job. The only way for us to cope is for us to temporarily remove the email address so that we can catch up on names and keep everything under control.

If you know of any websites that have given out our email, please could you let us know by leaving a comment below. We are not angry or upset at anyone for giving out our email address, we would just like to ask those sites to take our email down so that we can breathe a little easier. Of course we appreciate our link being given out and we want to help as many as possible but we really want to try to keep our email address quite.

Thank you for understanding.

With Love,

Carly and Sam

I wanted to thank you a thousand times for what you have done and continue to do. You wrote my daughter's name in the sand and posted it on her birthday. It still brings tears to my eyes everytime I come back to look at it. I hope you are able to continue your work. It is a blessing to the world.

it is completely understandable and reasonable for you to set your own pace. the world is a better place because of the pair of you.

Perhaps you can "expand" by taking on other volunteers who live by beaches? It's a big world with a lot of beautiful beaches...just an idea.
If I had a decent camera I would be more than willing to help you.

I agree with the previous comment and came to post the same idea. Maybe we could even have a list of names that need to be written and people could agree to take on certain names. I don't live too close to a beach, but I could write a few when we do go, as I'm sure others would be willing to. I live in California, US.

It is such a wonderful thing that you and your family is doing! I hope that I get a chance to have my own angle's name memorialized by you some day!

Thanks again and keep up the good work!!!

Praying that God will equip you with what you need to continue meeting this need. You do have to set boundaries, and work at the pace you are able. Hang in there...and keep going...

It would not be out of line for people to submit samples of their work, too. That way you will be keeping to a standard that you are comfortable with.
By all means, do what you feel at peace with, and God bless you in your effort.

babydekar's got a good point! I was thinking the same thing.. I live in Michigan though.. with no beautiful beaches close by. You do need to set your own pace though. Thank you again for everything you do! :)

Carly,
I found this website through the T18 Foundation, a condition that my child had. I can understand how overwhelming it is to write the names of children who have left our world, as there are so many. I live close to several beaches and also do photography, so I would welcome the opportunity to help if you decide to branch out. I am in the US on the upper east coast.

I hope to send you my child's name to write on her birthday, but thank you so much for the wonderful idea, this is how I am going to spend her day.
