Precious baby Emily, gone before you ever came.

Taken from us before we could even know your name.

How could this happen? It is just not fair!

I guess you were just too perfect for this earth,

heaven must have needed you up there.

How unfortunate for this world not to have you play a part,

For your journey to have ended before it had the chance to start.

We all could not wait to meet you, beautiful baby girl,

We couldn’t wait to see how you were going to change this world

We knew you were beautiful, we knew you would be smart.

Even though you are gone,

you will forever be with us in our heart.

You’ve left behind a mom and dad who were ready

to love you more than you could know

, and two special brothers who were excited to watch and help you grow.

We have to try and not be selfish and remember through this pain

That at least you will not have to feel the pressures of this earth,

you will not feel the strain. No one can ever hurt you

or make you shed a tear,

you will never have to know sadness,

you will never have to know fear.

So take your place in heaven on this cold,

sad day in December,

a day that will not be forgotten,

a day we will always remember

. The pain this has left on our hearts,

we will never be able to hide,

but we can take comfort in knowing that

we now have an extra angel on our side.
